COOKSON  METHODIST

This is the Saturday night to "Spring Forward one hour with your clocks"  The time will change to daylight savings time.  This Saturday morning trustee chairman, Gene Gregory invites you to bring a friend and yourself at 9:00 am to help spruce up the church buildings and grounds for the annual spring cleanup.  Lots of hands make for light work.  A chili lunch will be provided.  Thanks for caring and helping.  Please contact Gene at 822-2082 or the church at 457-5717.

The United Methodist women meet Wednesday at 1:00 pm.  They will have a salad luncheon and bring bathroom paper products for the Circle of Care girls cottage.  The Easter egg tree is growing weekly with donations to buy mosquitoes nets for protecting African children from malaria.  Each bed net costs $3.00

The youth praise team has started practicing on Tuesdays after school.  Every youth talent is invited to come and join the fun.  The youth meet for chill out time every Wednesday after school till time for a light supper at 6:00 pm. followed by youth church from  6:30-8:00 pm.  Adults are welcome to join in the food, praise, prayer and worship.  Once again thanks for caring.

Plans are being made for Galactic Blast Vacation Bible School June 7-11th from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.  Volunteers are always needed.  Please contact Cindy at 931-7811 to let her know where God is calling you to help.  A planning meeting will be scheduled in the near future.

Cookson United Methodist church will be having an all church potluck March 21st.  The missionary that we support Marsha Alexander will be preaching.  Guests are always welcome at any activity or service.  Just come as you are.
