Fishing Report

Ft. Gibson: 6-21. Elevation 3 ft. above normal and stained. Catfish good on corks with night crawlers and garlic hot dog chunks in the rocky bank areas. Look for Gar surfacing and fish those areas because the gar are feeding on the catfish eggs. White bass on the windy points and biting good on rattletraps, curl tail grubs and crankbaits. Largemouth bass great on frogs, jig and pig combinations and spinnerbaits. Crappie good on minnows and jigs in the brush at 5-10 ft. Report submitted by Rick Stafford with 3riverguideservice.com


Greenleaf
: 6-22. Elevation normal, water clear. Largemouth bass good on spinnerbaits around rocky points and creeks. Catfish good on cut bait on bottom near the spillway. Crappie fair on minnows and purple jigs around the fishing dock. Report submitted by Lark Wilson, game warden stationed in Muskogee County.


Lower Illinois
: 6-18. Elevation normal, water 57 and clear. Largemouth bass good on crankbaits all along the river. White bass good on jigs at 1-2 ft. all along the river. Striped bass fair on plugs at 2-3 ft.  and on live bait at 4 ft. below Gore Landing. Channel catfish good on cut bait on bottom all along the river. Crappie good on jigs at 1-3 ft. all along the river. Sunfish good on worms at 1-2 ft. all along the river. Trout excellent on flies at the surface, on roster tails at 1-2 ft. and on power bait on bottom all along the river. Report submitted by D. Tracy, Town of Gore.


Tenkiller
: 6-22. Elevation 1/2 ft. above normal, water 84 and clear. Largemouth bass fair on finesse worms in the early morning in shallow water. Catfish good on windy shorelines on worms or minnows. Webbers Falls
:  6-22. Elevation 2 ft. above normal, water murky. Largemouth bass fair on spinnerbaits and crankbaits in creeks, moss beds and riprap. Catfish good on cut bait and shad. Crappie fair on minnows and purple and pink jigs around brush. Report submitted by Lark Wilson, game warden stationed in Muskogee County


Eufaula:
6-21. Elevation 1 ft. above normal, water clear. Largemouth bass fair on spinnerbaits and crankbaits along rocky areas. White bass fair in the riprap around bridges. Blue catfish good on a variety of baits in shallow rocky areas. Crappie good on minnows and jigs at 8-20 ft. under bridges and long standing timber. Robert S. Kerr
: 6-23.  Water 86 and murky. Crappie good around brush piles at 8-12 ft. on minnows and small jigs. White slow. Largemouth bass good at 2-5 ft. along the grass beds on rubber worms and spinnerbaits. Catfish slow at this time but the smaller fish are being caught on earthworms, fresh shad and punch bait. Flathead catfish good on live and fresh sunfish at 3-7 ft.
